WWE WrestleMania 42 set for Las Vegas

Wrestling’s grandest spectacle returns this weekend as WWE WrestleMania 42 takes over Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for the second year running, reports BritPanorama.

The two-night extravaganza kicks off on Saturday, April 18 and wraps up on Sunday, April 19, featuring 13 matches across both evenings. Fans can expect four hours of action each night, highlighted by some of the biggest names in professional wrestling.

Legendary wrestling star John Cena, who holds the record with 17 world championship reigns, will host both nights of the event. Saturday’s card includes thrilling championship competitions, with the night closing with a clash between former friends Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton, who are set to face off for the WWE Championship.

Stephanie Vaquer will defend her Women’s World Championship against Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan, intensifying their already heated rivalry. Additionally, AJ Lee makes her WrestleMania comeback, facing off against Becky Lynch in the Women’s Intercontinental Championship match.

Meanwhile, the Women’s Tag Team titles are at stake in a fatal four-way match, featuring champions Nia Jax and Lash Legend defending against three formidable teams. Sunday night promises a much-anticipated main event where CM Punk defends his World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns, amid a rivalry that stretches back years and has recently escalated.

Alongside these high-stakes bouts, Rhea Ripley will challenge Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship. Cargill enters the match with an impressive record, having lost only four singles matches during her WWE career.

UK viewers can catch all the action on Netflix, as the streaming service broadcasts WWE’s premium live events including WrestleMania, with both nights commencing at 11pm British time. American audiences will have access through ESPN’s streaming service, with subscription packages beginning around $30 monthly. Netflix also covers various other countries including Australia, Canada, Germany, and much of Europe, positioning it as the preferred option for international fans hoping to witness the Showcase of the Immortals.

This weekend marks a significant moment for wrestling enthusiasts, offering opportunities for drama, rivalry, and spectacular entertainment, all under the bright lights of Las Vegas.
