Police seek former footballer Myles Judd in armed robbery case
Hertfordshire Police are appealing for the public’s assistance in tracking down a former footballer sought in connection with an armed robbery, reports BritPanorama.
Myles Judd, aged 27, is now on the force’s most wanted list following the incident allegedly involving him in St Albans. Officers have described the suspect as having a large and distinctive tattoo on his neck, which should facilitate identification.
The appeal was initially issued last Thursday, yet police have not confirmed the exact date or location of the alleged offence. Before being placed on the wanted list, Judd had a career in non-league football across Kent, playing as a right-back.
Judd notably turned out for Dover Athletic from January 2022 to July 2023, later joining Ramsgate in August 2024 before moving to Herne Bay in March 2025. He began his professional career at Leyton Orient, where he made 73 appearances, including a notable season in League Two during 2016/17.
Beyond his footballing connections to Kent, police report that Judd also has ties to several towns in Essex, specifically highlighting Loughton, Ongar, and Clacton-on-Sea as potential areas of interest.
Authorities have issued a clear warning to the public not to approach Judd if he is spotted. Anyone who sees the 27-year-old is urged to call 999 to report the sighting. For those who may know of his whereabouts, tips can be submitted online or by calling the non-emergency line on 101.
When providing information, police request that individuals quote the crime reference number 41B2/13523/26 to ensure their details are logged against the case.
In the unpredictable world of professional sports, the lines between athlete and individual can blur, leading to unforeseen consequences, a reflection that resonates beyond the pitch.
