Angry Ginge aims for Modus Super Series spot after impressive darts comeback

Angry Ginge targets Modus Super Series entry before 2026 ends

Angry Ginge has set himself a bold target: breaking into the Modus Super Series before 2026 is out, reports BritPanorama.

The 24-year-old streamer, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, has emerged as one of the most recognizable faces on the fringes of professional darts, largely due to his close association with world champion Luke Littler.

After an eight-month hiatus from competition, Ginge demonstrated his potential by achieving an average of 70 across seven legs during a recent practice session. “I played seven legs yesterday, didn’t once play darts in the last eight months and averaged 70,” he remarked.

Having experienced the atmosphere of Alexandra Palace while cheering on Littler during his successful World Championship title defence in January, Ginge believes the Modus Super Series—where match averages typically range from 80 to 100—presents a realistic opportunity. He stated, “If I stuck at it from now to the end of the year I reckon I could get in that.”

With minimal competition play in 2026, the immediate return to a 70 average has bolstered his confidence. While he has participated in Modus events previously during an Influencer Darts Showdown, the weekly competition presents a greater challenge against players competing for prize money and professional opportunities.

Ginge’s enthusiasm for the sport extends beyond personal ambitions; he embraced a vibrant moment at the World Championship alongside influencers Pieface and Bambino Becky in December, stepping onto the oche in a personalized darts shirt paired with Lightning McQueen Crocs.

Streaming on various platforms has also provided him with a platform to enhance his skills, and notably, he has even secured legs against current world number one Littler during their livestream sessions. Ginge is contemplating entering PDC Q-School in January 2027—not with expectations of winning a Tour Card, but to gain valuable experience within a competitive environment.

He acknowledges the significant difference between recreational play and serious competition due to the inherent pressures, stating, “In darts, your hands are shaking and everything. Darts is mainly about who’s got the biggest bottle.”

Meanwhile, Littler continues to excel at the highest level, having achieved remarkable success by winning all six major titles contested in 2026 so far, as he aims for an unprecedented clean sweep of each major championship.
