The 46-year-old Pole tipped the scales more than 25lb above Fury at Thursday’s weigh-in, yet remains confident he can cause an upset. “Preparation is very good. I expect a very good fight here on Friday,” Wach said. “It’s easy for me (Fury’s antics). His technique. But I think during the later rounds, this fight will be more easy for me.”
Fury, for his part, insisted he is treating his opponent with full respect. “Mariusz has had a lot of professional fights and he’s a big, dangerous guy,” he said. “I’ve got to be on my A-game, and I’ve picked him because I want some good rounds out of him.”
The Morecambe fighter also stressed his determination to remain active. “I want to keep busy. I’m not banking on any fight happening or not happening,” he added.
