Martin Brundle reprimands Jimmy Fallon during Miami Grand Prix grid walk

Martin Brundle encountered an unusual moment during his grid walk at the Miami Grand Prix, when he had to admonish American chat show host Jimmy Fallon for bizarre behaviour, reports BritPanorama.

The Sky Sports commentator expressed his displeasure after Fallon unexpectedly placed Brundle’s microphone windscreen into his mouth during their pre-race interaction. This incident was indicative of a larger trend of colourful celebrity encounters typical of Brundle’s grid walks.

Fallon’s exuberance upon being approached by Brundle was evident, as he exclaimed, “Oh my God, Martin Brundle! What are you up to? What do you need? Can I get anything for you?” This greeting set the stage for a frantic discussion where Fallon voiced his support for Red Bull and Max Verstappen, enthusiastically declaring the Dutch driver would “crush it.”

Brundle responded directly to Fallon’s antics, saying, “Do not take my mic sock again,” clearly indicating that the American crossed a line with his playful interference. The encounter proceeded amidst a lively atmosphere, with Brundle also appearing in DJ Khaled’s livestream, highlighting the unpredictable nature of the event.

Later in the grid walk, Brundle met Hollywood actor Colin Farrell, who mirrored Fallon’s enthusiasm, saying, “It’s lovely to meet you… After all of these years, you don’t write, you don’t call. Look at this shirt. Old school.”

The Miami grid walk proved to be an entertaining spectacle, showcasing not only the personalities within the F1 paddock but also the unique interactions that emerge before the race even starts.
