Manchester United reminded of kit regulations after Hull City defeat
The Premier League has reminded Manchester United of its kit regulations after the club was found to have failed to display the required badges during their defeat at Hull City, reports BritPanorama.

As per Premier League rules, clubs lacking a sleeve sponsor must display the division’s official branding on each arm. Instead, it was reported that they appeared with the badge on just one sleeve against Hull.
The matter has been addressed by the Premier League through a polite reminder rather than an official sanction, according to the Daily Mail. United is expected to comply with these regulations when they return to Old Trafford on Sunday to face Ipswich Town, with both sleeves set to feature the Premier League patches.
United continues to seek a replacement sponsor for their sleeves, having had commercial partners on the kits for the past eight seasons. This situation added an unwanted dimension to a challenging day for Michael Carrick’s team, who began their campaign with a disappointing loss at Hull.
United had hoped for a fresh start as the new season commenced, aiming to shed the inconsistencies that plagued their away matches last term. However, team captain Bruno Fernandes noted that the performance echoed previous issues, particularly a lack of intensity that allowed Hull to establish themselves early in the game.
“Same mistakes as we did last season in away matches,” Fernandes remarked post-match. “Every away game we give too much of the ball to them. In the first 20 minutes, the goalkeeper was the one with the most touches.” He stressed the need for increased pressing and defensive solidity, especially during set pieces.
Carrick acknowledged the challenges posed during the match, stating, “It was never going to be perfect today but I think going behind and giving ourselves a lot to do makes it more difficult, probably a typical one of those games of a newly promoted team at home.” He added that while the disappointment was palpable, it is just one game and the team must remain focused on the journey ahead.
