Jude Bellingham aims for Hollywood after football career

Jude Bellingham has expressed his aspiration to become the next James Bond after his football career, stating his desire to transition from the pitch to the big screen in the future, reports BritPanorama.

The Real Madrid midfielder discussed these ambitions during an appearance on “After Hours with James Corden,” where he also touched upon England’s World Cup prospects, his experiences in Spain, and the possibility of playing in Major League Soccer one day.

Bellingham has already made a strong impression in the tournament, having scored twice during the group stage and assisted Harry Kane in securing England’s top position in Group L. The 23-year-old is anticipated to feature prominently in England’s upcoming last-16 match against DR Congo in Atlanta, with the team just five wins away from ending their 60-year World Cup drought.

However, it was Bellingham’s ambition to portray Bond that generated considerable interest. When asked about his dreams beyond football, he admitted that playing Britain’s most famous spy would present the ultimate challenge. “People would always ask me, ‘What’s the thing you want to do outside of football?’ And I never really give it that much thought,” Bellingham said. “But when I have, it always comes out – I’d love to be in a film.”

He elaborated on his enthusiasm for the Bond franchise, stating, “I’ve watched the Sean Connery ones, Roger Moore. I’ve seen all of them. I love James Bond. I swear, I’d love to be.” His lively television appearance also included fishing with Corden and a rendition of “Sweet Caroline” during a Carpool Karaoke segment.

Bellingham’s current focus remains on securing World Cup success with England, which he believes could signify a historic moment for the nation. “It would just be beyond iconic, beyond legendary,” he remarked. “I think it’ll be an unbelievable time for the country.”

Reflecting on his transition to Real Madrid, Bellingham acknowledged the challenges of navigating daily life in the Spanish capital under the watchful eye of fans. “Going to the main bits of the city it’s got to be like a hoodie, cap, shades to not get recognised,” he explained, while appreciating the admiration he receives. “All the people are just so warm. Warmer when you’re winning.”

He also hinted at a potential future in Major League Soccer, citing the allure of a career in the United States, mentioning, “I do think it would be cool to live there and play there as well.” This perspective aligns with the paths taken by other football icons, such as David Beckham.

As Bellingham prepares for the next stage of his football career, his ventures beyond the sport could mark an intriguing shift—one that mirrors how athletes often navigate personal legacy in the spotlight after the final whistle. The allure of Hollywood is a familiar tale, but for Bellingham, the journey from footballing fame to cinematic legend might just be beginning.
