Diego Gomez suffers injury in Brighton’s match against Tottenham

Medical staff from the Seagulls rushed to attend to him before he was eventually withdrawn from the match, with Kaoru Mitoma coming on as his replacement after just 21 minutes. The South American nation face a demanding schedule that begins with a clash against co-hosts USA, followed by encounters with Turkey and Australia, making Gomez’s fitness a matter of national concern.
