Count Binface declines to reveal identity on live TV
Count Binface has responded after the BBC asked him to reveal his identity live on air, reports BritPanorama.
During an interview on Newsnight on Wednesday, Paddy O’Connell pressed the satirical candidate to “bin off the bin,” suggesting, “We know that your name is Jon.” Count Binface, however, declined to disclose his name, quipping, “Has anyone here seen Return of the Jedi? Nobody wants to know what’s underneath a Recyclon.”
Count Binface is emerging as a key electoral rival to Nigel Farage in the Clacton by-election, which has drawn no candidates from Labour, the Conservatives, the Liberal Democrats, the Green Party, or Restore Britain.
The satirical party is the brainchild of comedian Jonathan David Harvey, known for his previous challenge against then-prime minister Boris Johnson in the Uxbridge and South Ruislip constituency during the 2019 general election.
