Raheem Sterling admits to dangerous driving after motorway crash
Former England footballer Raheem Sterling has admitted to dangerous driving after crashing his Lamborghini into motorway barriers in May, reports BritPanorama.
Sterling was arrested following the incident on the M3 in Hampshire and later appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court. He admitted to possessing six nitrous oxide canisters intended for wrongful inhalation and failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
The crash occurred near the Minley interchange on the M3 southbound, and notably, no other vehicles were involved, resulting in no injuries.
The 31-year-old appeared in court wearing a black suit, complete with trousers and shoes. His football career has seen him play for clubs such as Feyenoord last season, where he made only eight appearances after departing Chelsea in January 2025, following a four-year spell that included a loan at Arsenal.
Sterling experienced significant success during his time at Manchester City, winning four Premier League titles among other accolades. He began his journey at the Queens Park Rangers academy before joining Liverpool in 2010, making his debut at just 17.
Despite his impressive career, he is currently without a club following his time with Chelsea and subsequent loan to Arsenal. Sterling has earned 82 caps for England, scoring 20 goals, with his last appearance in the 2022 World Cup quarter-final against France.
