Jake Paul shares hospital video following Anthony Joshua fight

Jake Paul has shared a video from a hospital bed following his clash with Anthony Joshua, where he suffered significant injuries after lasting six rounds with the former two-time heavyweight champion, reports BritPanorama.

X-rays have confirmed that Paul has a double break in his jaw. Despite a slow start, Joshua increased his tempo after the first four rounds, resulting in two knockdowns in the fifth round.

After applying pressure, the Olympic gold medalist delivered a decisive right hand that sent Paul crashing to the canvas in the sixth. The strike left Paul spitting blood as he conducted a post-fight interview, where he mentioned a suspected jaw injury, later confirmed in the hospital.

In the video shared from his hospital stay, Paul, wearing a Jake vs Joshua T-shirt and shorts, is seen hooked up to various tubes for monitoring. He used a lighthearted voice-over quote from the film Ted to appeal to his followers, captioning it: “Broken jaw guys thanks for all the support I’m ok.”

A subsequent post revealed the X-ray images verifying the seriousness of his condition. Meanwhile, his brother Logan shared a photograph from the same emergency room, praising Jake’s spirit, stating: “Proud brother of an absolute warrior, broke his jaw but can’t break his spirit.”

Despite the defeat, fans expressed admiration for Paul’s resilience against a top-notch opponent. Comments ranged from support for a comeback to commendations for his efforts. One fan encouraged, “Come back harder champ,” while another expressed respect, stating, “You’re a brave guy, Jake.”

Paul now faces a compulsory two-month boxing suspension following the knockout, indicating a significant period of reflection ahead as he considers his next steps in the ring.

In the chaos of the boxing world, the outcome serves as a stark reminder of the sport’s physical toll and the thin line between glory and pain. Here, even the brightest stars can find themselves at their most vulnerable.
