Stabbing incident in Covent Garden results in four injuries

LONDON — London police said Wednesday that a woman has been arrested after four people were stabbed in Covent Garden, a bustling area in the center of the capital that is full of attractions and popular with visitors, reports BritPanorama.

The Metropolitan Police stated that four men, aged 34, 39, 42, and 52, were found with stab wounds, while a 47-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and assault. Early indications suggest that the incident may be related to mental health issues, with scissors recovered at the scene.

The injured individuals were transported to a major trauma center following the incident, which occurred early Wednesday afternoon on Endell Street. As of now, no further updates have been provided regarding the extent of their injuries.

A significant police cordon has been established around the area, with law enforcement present to secure the scene. A spokesperson from the London Ambulance Service reported that they treated four patients on-site before transporting them all to a major trauma center by road.

Initially, police reported that three people were injured, but they later confirmed that four individuals sustained stab wounds during the incident.
