Although he passed a breathalyser test at the scene, law enforcement took him into custody due to suspected impairment, with hydrocodone tablets found in his possession. Florida prosecutors are now pursuing charges of driving under the influence and seeking to obtain his pharmaceutical records.
Woods’s future in professional golf remains uncertain. He has not participated in PGA Tour events for almost two years, following numerous back surgeries and extensive leg reconstruction after a serious accident in 2021.
