The Masters champion is currently participating in the FedEx St Jude Championship alongside Scottie Scheffler, marking his first tournament since The Open. During a recent media interaction, McIlroy was asked which athlete he would like to teach to play golf. He stated, “LeBron’s really gotten into golf, and he’s the most unbelievably gifted athlete, but it doesn’t look like it when he’s on the golf course. So, I’d love to give him a lesson.”
Shortly after McIlroy’s comments, James took to social media to respond, saying, “Well, guess what! I’m in for that lesson for sure!” James has previously articulated his appreciation for golf, noting the sport’s complexity and challenge.
The specifics regarding the timing and location of the lesson have yet to be determined, as McIlroy’s current focus is on this weekend’s championship. This season has been particularly successful for the Northern Irishman, with McIlroy clinching his second green jacket and sixth major title, further solidifying his position in the sport.
