Alvaro Morata reportedly leaves shared home amid marriage issues

Spanish striker Alvaro Morata has reportedly left the home he shared with his wife Alice Campello following an unsuccessful attempt to repair their marriage, reports BritPanorama.

The 33-year-old former Chelsea forward and the Italian influencer, 30, have allegedly been residing separately for several weeks. This news follows their initial separation announcement in August 2024, which came shortly after Spain’s triumph at the European Championship, where Morata captained his national side to victory.

Images captured by the Spanish publication Hola show Morata pressing the intercom at their former residence before picking up one of their children. Neither Morata nor Campello has issued any public statement regarding the reported separation.

Despite having appeared to reconcile at the start of 2025, hopes for their relationship were dashed when Morata relocated to a property in one of Milan’s most prestigious neighbourhoods. The pair share four young children: twins Alessandro and Leonardo, along with Edoardo and Bella.

Morata’s current loan at Serie A side Como from AC Milan follows his unsuccessful pursuits for a summer transfer to Spanish club Getafe. The forward has yet to score in his 15 appearances for the club.

Earlier in October, Campello publicly defended Elena Sirigu, a sports management expert, against claims suggesting an affair with Morata, maintaining that Sirigu is a family friend. Campello, who described the couple’s initial separation as “the biggest mistake we’ve ever made in our lives,” asserted that such allegations could inflict significant damage on personal and professional lives.

Morata has openly discussed struggling with mental health, revealing that constant criticism left him “mentally broken.” In a documentary released last year, he admitted to considering feigning an injury to avoid participating in Euro 2024, facing persistent abuse from supporters both in stadiums and in public with his family.

The circumstances surrounding Morata’s separation underscore how personal struggles often unfold on a public stage, reflecting the complex interplay between family life and professional sports.
