Kemi Badenoch outlines Conservative vision at conference
Kemi Badenoch closed the Conservative Party conference by revealing her plans in “the battle for the soul of this nation,” reports BritPanorama.
In a speech that capitalized on the momentum gained during the conference, she directly targeted Prime Minister Andy Burnham and Reform leader Nigel Farage.
The Tory leader announced plans to slash Labour’s “Jobs Tax,” vowing to halve it for workers aged 21-24 to help them enter the workforce. She stressed that every Brit who can work must work, criticizing Labour’s “broken” welfare system.
Badenoch also dismissed any possibility of an electoral pact with Farage, urging Reform voters to “come back home.”
Ms Badenoch stated, “I don’t want to live in a country run by people who threaten journalists, who call veterans ‘traitors’ and debate whether my mixed-race children are English.”
As Badenoch makes her rallying call, the effectiveness of her plan in swaying public and party opinion remains to be seen.
The Conservative Party’s forward trajectory hinges on its response to economic and social challenges, with Badenoch’s announcements setting the stage for the political discourse leading up to the next election.
