Three assailants shot at least 11 people to death in a mass shooting at a house party in South Africa, police said Wednesday, reports BritPanorama.
One of the victims was a woman who was believed to be pregnant, with three others reported injured in the attack.
The shooting occurred Tuesday night in the KwaMakhutha township, approximately 19 miles south of Durban. Attendees were gathered for a party when the suspects entered and opened fire, according to police statements.
Authorities are actively searching for the suspects, but as of now, no arrests have been made.
The motive behind the shooting remains unknown, although police noted that some attendees were previously known to law enforcement due to ongoing investigations into criminal activities. Further details regarding these investigations were not disclosed.
