Crystal Palace's comeback victory adds to Tottenham's relegation woes in Premier League clash

Crystal Palace stage comeback to beat Tottenham 3-1

Crystal Palace produced a remarkable turnaround at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, netting three times within a devastating 12-minute spell to secure a stunning 3-1 triumph over their north London hosts, reports BritPanorama.

The visitors found themselves trailing after Dominic Solanke opened the scoring for Spurs, but Micky van de Ven’s dismissal transformed the contest entirely. The Dutch defender, after misjudging a ball, brought down Ismaila Sarr and received a red card, marking Tottenham’s fourth of the campaign.

Sarr capitalised on the ensuing penalty, sending goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario the wrong way to level the score at 1-1. Shortly thereafter, Jorgen Strand Larsen found the net with a deft finish, making it 2-1 just before the halftime whistle.

Palace continued their assault in the second half, with Sarr scoring again in the seventh minute of stoppage time, latching onto another incisive pass from Adam Wharton to seal the victory. This win marked Palace’s first consecutive league triumphs at Tottenham’s ground, lifting them to 13th in the standings.

The result deepens Tottenham’s woes as they languish in 16th position, just a point above the relegation zone and still searching for their first victory of 2026. Interim manager Igor Tudor’s attempts to change the tide with substitutions proved futile, leaving fans restless as pressure mounts around the club in light of recent performances.

As home supporters departed in dismay, the match served as a stark reminder of how quickly fortunes can shift in football, providing both hope and anxiety in equal measure.
