Pep Guardiola to leave Manchester City after a decade

Pep Guardiola will leave Manchester City at the end of the season after 10 years at the club, reports BritPanorama.

The Spaniard hailed it as an incredible decade, securing 20 trophies with the Citizens. Guardiola will remain with the City Football Group, taking on the role of Global Ambassador.

Reflecting on his departure, Guardiola noted, “When I arrived, my first interview was with Noel Gallagher. I walked out thinking: ‘Okay… Noel is here? This will be fun.’” He expressed a deep gratitude for his time at the club and the connection he formed with the city.

In his farewell message, Guardiola stated, “There is no reason, but deep inside, I know it’s my time. Nothing is eternal; if it was, I would be here.” He paid tribute to the city’s history of hard work and community, emphasizing the challenges they faced together, from disappointments to triumphs.

Addressing the fans, he continued, “Hard work comes in many forms. Remember, the Manchester Arena attack, when this city showed the world what strength actually looks like? Not anger. Not fear. Just love. Community. Togetherness.” He recounted personal moments, including losing his mother during the COVID-19 pandemic, and how the club supported him during that time.

Guardiola concluded his poignant message by acknowledging the legacy that he believes he and his team have created, saying, “What we have done, we have done it for all of you. And you have been just exceptional. You don’t know it yet, but you are leaving a legacy.” His final remarks reflected a mix of joy and appreciation for the time spent within the club and its fans.

Such a prominent exit from one of football’s most successful managers raises questions about the future direction of the club. As Manchester City prepares for a transition, anticipation builds around who will step into the role and how they will continue the legacy Guardiola leaves behind. For now, his tenure serves as a remarkable chapter in the club’s history, one that will resonate for years to come.
