Andrew Flintoff lists Cheshire mansion for £6.75 million
Andrew Flintoff has placed his luxury Cheshire mansion on the market with an eye-watering asking price of £6.75 million, reports BritPanorama.
The former England cricket captain purchased the six-bedroom property from Manchester United legend Phil Neville in 2021, shortly before Neville relocated to the United States to join David Beckham’s MLS club Inter Miami.
Flintoff, known as Freddie, could see a substantial return on the mansion, which spans approximately 10,000 square feet over four floors. The property features six bathrooms, three main reception rooms, and an expansive open-plan kitchen designed for hosting.
Notable amenities include a private leisure suite featuring an indoor swimming pool, gym, cinema, and games room. A passenger lift gives access to all floors, with security ensured by a monitored CCTV system. The Rightmove listing describes it as a “stunning detached family home arranged over four floors.”
The design emphasizes both entertainment and family living, showcasing a blend of contemporary architecture and luxury finishes. Flintoff has resided in the mansion with his wife Rachael and their four children: Holly, Corey, Rocky, and Preston.
Two of Flintoff’s sons are following in his footsteps as professional cricketers, with Corey, 20, an all-rounder for Kent, and 18-year-old Rocky representing Lancashire. Flintoff himself had an illustrious international career, featuring in 79 Test matches, notably playing a pivotal role in England’s 2005 Ashes victory.
His life took a dramatic turn in December 2022 when he suffered serious facial and rib injuries during an accident while filming Top Gear. Subsequently, Flintoff described a challenging recovery period during which he stayed at home for months following surgeries.
“Afterwards, obviously, there’s the physical scars that I’ve got. But then the mental side of it,” Flintoff recounted. The accident led to a critical reflection on his life choices, noting how split-second decisions had a profound impact on his existence.
Flintoff has since rebuilt his career, spending nearly two years as the head coach of the England Lions before departing in August to focus on a new role with Sydney Thunder for the upcoming Big Bash League season in Australia.
