Iran has warned the US and Middle East regions they will be targeted by “painful strikes” if they make “any mistake”. This statement comes from Iran’s main military command, Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, in response to intelligence suggesting that Washington plans to resume aggressive actions against Tehran with the support of some regional allies, reports BritPanorama.
The Iranian military emphasized that should the United States take any aggressive action, all of its bases and interests in the region would face “continuous, effective and painful strikes without any limitation or reservation.”
These warnings coincide with rising tensions in the Middle East, as US President Donald Trump cut short his weekend stay at Camp David and returned to the White House ahead of schedule. No official reason was provided for this decision.
In light of escalating hostilities, the US State Department issued a security alert to Americans in the region, highlighting the potential for rapid escalation in conflict, particularly between Saudi Arabia and the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen. At least 11 US embassies in the area have warned of possible travel disruptions.
Additionally, Central Intelligence Agency Director John Ratcliffe met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi, where discussions included support for a resolution to the Iranian crisis and the safeguarding of shipping navigation. El-Sissi’s office also reaffirmed Egypt’s stance against any aggression toward Arab nations.
