Peter Murrell, the former chief executive of the Scottish National Party (SNP) and ex-husband of Nicola Sturgeon, appeared in the High Court in Edinburgh today, facing serious charges regarding the embezzlement of over £400,000 from the party, reports BritPanorama.

Instead, the vehicle was filled with luxury items such as high-end kitchenware and toiletries, with investigators suggesting its configuration was consistent with personal leisure use rather than political activity.
During proceedings, lawyers argued that Murrell misled SNP employees and auditors regarding the purpose of the campervan, adding unnecessary luxury features that further highlighted the mismanagement of party funds. As the session concluded, Murrell was led out of the courtroom, handcuffed once more.
