The FA Cup continued in dramatic fashion as football fans were treated to four afternoon matches featuring another shock result. Mansfield Town defeated Burnley 2-1 at Turf Moor, continuing their impressive run after previously eliminating holders Crystal Palace, reports BritPanorama.

Mansfield took the lead against Burnley in the 21st minute, thanks to Josh Laurent, who skillfully cut inside both a defender and the goalkeeper to score. The visitors equalized early in the second half through Rhys Oates, who headed home in the 53rd minute. The winning goal came from Reed, whose curling free kick from 25 yards out secured a memorable victory for the visitors.

In other matches, Manchester City comfortably defeated Salford City 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium. City took an early lead with a deflected goal in the sixth minute from Ait-Nouri. Despite dominating possession, City had to wait until the 81st minute to extend their advantage when Guehi capitalized on a parry from Salford’s goalkeeper.

Norwich City secured their advancement with a 3-1 victory against West Bromwich Albion. Paris Maghoma opened the scoring before Maja equalized for West Brom. Norwich regained the lead through Chrisene and capped the match with a third goal in stoppage time.

Southampton and Leicester City played to a 1-1 draw, requiring extra time to find a winner. Southampton initially took the lead with a penalty from Larin, only for Leicester to equalize with a stunning overhead kick by Oliver Skipp shortly after the second half began.

This year’s FA Cup has once again highlighted the unpredictable nature of knockout football, a reminder of how even Premier League giants can stumble against lower league sides. The knockout spirit continues to live on as the tournament progresses, with intrigue surrounding the next rounds.
