Tyson Fury plans £42 million luxury superyacht as retirement goal ahead of Joshua fight

Tyson Fury invests £42 million in luxury superyacht

Tyson Fury is reportedly preparing for life after boxing in extraordinary fashion, with the former heavyweight champion said to be investing £42 million in a luxury superyacht designed specifically for him and his family, reports BritPanorama.

The 37-year-old, who has repeatedly hinted that the end of his fighting career is approaching, has commissioned the vessel from scratch as part of ambitious plans to spend more time traveling the world with wife Paris and their seven children.

According to The Sun, the custom-built yacht will boast a host of lavish features, including a private boxing gym, luxury designer interiors, and entertainment facilities aimed at keeping the Fury family occupied while at sea. Sources claim Fury’s latest purchase has been inspired by his long-standing love of luxury yacht holidays.

The former world champion has regularly chartered high-end vessels during breaks away from boxing and is now reportedly taking the next step by creating one tailored to his own specifications. A source told the newspaper that Fury views the project as a reward for his achievements in the ring and hopes to use it extensively once he eventually steps away from the sport.

“Tyson has always loved traveling on yachts and regularly rents them when he goes on holiday,” the source said.

The yacht is reportedly still in the planning stages, with construction expected to take between 16 and 18 months. Among the headline attractions are said to be a dedicated training area where Fury can continue working out, along with a large inflatable water park designed for his children.

The yacht is also expected to feature luxury interiors inspired by Italian fashion house Versace, with reports claiming the family has already embraced the nautical theme. It’s said that Fury has even been arranging designer sailing outfits for family members ahead of the yacht’s completion.

The project is said to reflect Fury’s larger-than-life personality, with the towering heavyweight determined to create something unlike anything he has previously owned. One particularly extravagant idea reportedly considered by Fury was the addition of a private submarine. However, friends are said to have pointed out that the 6ft 9in star might struggle for space inside such a compact vehicle.

“He doesn’t do things by halves,” the source said. “He wants it to be something special and cannot wait to see the finished product.”

Despite the retirement talk, Fury’s boxing career isn’t over just yet. The Gypsy King has repeatedly been linked with a long-awaited showdown against fellow British heavyweight Anthony Joshua, a fight that has been discussed for years but has never materialized. Speculation over a blockbuster all-British clash has intensified once again in recent months, with both camps keen to make the contest happen before either man hangs up his gloves amid suggestions everything is agreed.

Joshua is preparing to return to action later this summer after defeating Jake Paul in December. The two-time heavyweight world champion is scheduled to fight Kristian Prenga in a Saudi-backed contest on July 25 as he continues his quest to secure another major fight before the end of the year.

Fury’s plans for the future underline a striking contrast; as he charts a course towards retirement on the high seas, the ring remains a realm where he expects to command authority one last time.
