Travis and Jason Kelce express surprise over mother's cunning role on The Traitors

NFL brothers react to mother’s reality TV debut

NFL brothers Jason and Travis Kelce have expressed their surprise at their mother Donna’s performance on reality television, particularly her cunning approach on season four of The Traitors, reports BritPanorama.

During an episode of their podcast New Heights, 38-year-old Jason commended his mother, stating, “I thought she did fantastic. She was way more deceitful and devious than I thought Mom could ever be, which was surprising.”

Travis, 36, echoed his brother’s sentiments, expressing pride in watching their mother compete. “I was so proud of her, man,” he said. “She looked like she was having a blast, enjoying it all… it was just so cool to see her in this moment.”

The younger Kelce brother lauded Donna for her performance during the show’s tense roundtable discussions, where contestants vote to banish suspected traitors. He viewed her participation as a “beautiful” example of embracing new opportunities later in life.

Donna made history as the first-ever “secret Traitor” on the Peacock series, although her time in the game was short-lived after fellow contestants voted to eliminate her during episode three. Reflecting on her experience, an emotional Donna stated, “Playing a Traitor was tough, but I gave it my best shot. This has been a dream come true. These are happy tears that I get to do this at this point in my life. It’s just the joy of being in the game.”

Travis also acknowledged comedian Ron Funches, who befriended Donna on set. “Shout-out to my guy Ron Funches for sticking by her side,” Travis remarked, noting the potential mixed feelings Funches may have had upon discovering Donna’s secret role.

In previous discussions, the brothers hinted at the possibility of appearing on The Traitors themselves. Travis believed Jason would excel, while Jason admitted his weakness in lying, preferring a straightforward role as a Faithful.

Donna Kelce’s stint on the show underscores the balancing act of family pride and the unpredictable nature of reality competition — a reminder that the game’s drama can sometimes hinge on personal stakes.
