Liverpool’s under-pressure manager Arne Slot faces uncertainty
Liverpool chiefs have compiled a list of three possible replacements for Arne Slot, should they decide to axe the under-pressure Dutchman, reports BritPanorama.
The Reds have been in poor form this season, suffering nine defeats in their last twelve matches, which has raised concerns about Slot’s future at the helm. This includes a disappointing run of three consecutive losses, the latest being a 4-1 defeat at Anfield to PSV in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Glasner’s attacking philosophy is viewed as a strong match with Liverpool’s current squad, although the club recognizes the necessity of adding a defender in the upcoming transfer window. This could provide an opportunity for Glasner to reconnect with Marc Guehi, Palace’s captain, whose future remains uncertain as his contract expires in June 2026.
In addition to Glasner, another contender is Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola, who has made a notable impact since joining the club in 2023. Although his contract also runs out at the end of the season, he is reportedly content at Bournemouth and holds aspirations for a position at one of Spain’s elite clubs.
The final name on Liverpool’s radar is Sebastian Hoeness, currently managing VfB Stuttgart. Hoeness has already been linked with several top jobs, including Chelsea and Bayern Munich, thanks to his impressive track record, including winning the DFB-Pokal last season and leading Stuttgart to a runners-up finish in the Bundesliga in 2024.
Slot continues to remain defiant in the face of adversity.
