Jake Paul flaunts £140 million earnings on private jet after defeat to Anthony Joshua

Jake Paul displays lavish lifestyle despite knockout loss to Anthony Joshua

Jake Paul has showcased his substantial payday from the £140 million bout with Anthony Joshua by posing aboard a private jet surrounded by stacks of cash and an array of firearms, reports BritPanorama.

The 28-year-old suffered a sixth-round knockout defeat to the former heavyweight world champion in Miami on Friday night. Following the brutal loss, the American shared an image on Instagram, presenting himself with a gold-plated firearm while smoking a cigar, with several other guns and piles of hundred-dollar bills strewn across the cabin floor.

The devastating blow from Joshua’s trademark right hand left Paul with fractures requiring immediate medical attention. He was rushed to a hospital, where surgeons fitted two titanium plates to repair the damage and removed several teeth. Paul is now limited to a liquid diet for the next week as he recovers from the procedure.

In a later social media post, he shared an X-ray image confirming his double fracture, along with graphic footage showing his visibly shifted jaw and blood on his face. A further image in Paul’s Instagram carousel juxtaposed a photo of himself as a child with his current wealth, underscoring his journey.

Despite the pain of defeat, Paul earned approximately $92 million (£68 million) for the fight, a sum far surpassing his previous earnings, including a bout with Mike Tyson. The breakdown of his earnings reveals he made over $15 million (£11 million) for each round he spent in the ring, which lasted 16 minutes and 31 seconds.

Paul expressed his intention to continue his boxing career, stating, “Anthony Joshua is a great fighter; I got beat, but that’s what this sport is about. I will come back and keep on winning.” The American, who frequently flaunts his opulent lifestyle on social media, has recently been in the spotlight for his engagement to Olympic speed skater Jutta Leerdam, whom he credits with inspiring him to strive for a world title at cruiserweight once he fully recovers.

This juxtaposition of celebratory displays of wealth against the backdrop of a significant career setback is a striking reminder of the complex narratives that accompany modern sports figures. In a world where fortunes can shift between the ring and social media, the path of ambition remains as dynamic as ever.
