Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez purchase exclusive villas in Saudi Arabia

Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodriguez have acquired a pair of high-end properties on Nujuma, an exclusive island situated in Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea, reports BritPanorama.

The secluded destination can only be accessed by seaplane or boat, with travelers required to first reach the nearby Red Sea International Airport.

The former Manchester United forward and Rodriguez are believed to be among the first buyers to secure homes on the island, where private villas are arranged in a distinctive ring formation above the water.

Properties on the island have price tags between £3 million and £4.5 million. The couple reportedly purchased two separate villas to accommodate their family. One residence features three bedrooms for family stays, while the second property contains two bedrooms.

Nujuma lies approximately 800 miles from Riyadh, where Ronaldo currently plays with Al-Nassr. This latest property investment reflects the Portuguese footballer’s ongoing commitment to the Saudi Pro League, as well as a significant interest in the real estate market of his adopted country.

The exclusive villas promise an elite retreat experience, catering to wealthy buyers seeking privacy. Residents will have access to premium facilities, including a golf course and upscale restaurants. Future developments are set to expand the island’s appeal considerably, with plans for 11 additional resorts in the coming years.

Ronaldo expressed enthusiasm for the acquisition when speaking to the Saudi Gazette, stating, “It’s truly exceptional in every sense of the word.” He emphasized the personal significance of the purchase, highlighting a deep connection with the island’s natural beauty. “From our first visit, Georgina and I felt a deep connection with this island and its breathtaking natural beauty. It’s a place where we find peace and tranquility.”

John Pagano, chief executive of Red Sea International, welcomed the high-profile acquisition, noting its potential to elevate the luxury destination’s profile. “We are delighted to welcome Cristiano and Georgina to the Red Sea Residences community,” he stated, underlining the importance of such endorsements for the developing region.

The purchase of these villas marks a notable chapter in Ronaldo’s career, blending his sporting success with strategic investments in real estate, a testament to the intersection of sport, wealth, and lifestyle choices. It presents a reminder of how the world of football increasingly intertwines with global luxury markets.
