Reform UK faces crisis after undercover investigation exposes members' racist and violent comments

Nigel Farage’s party is facing severe repercussions following an undercover sting operation that exposed instances of racist, sexual, and violent rhetoric among its members, reports BritPanorama.

As a result, several Reform UK members have either been suspended or resigned amid heightened scrutiny over these explosive revelations.

The party has been accused of “appalling behaviour” and “extreme racism” following footage revealed by ITV Exposure, set to air on Sunday night.

This year-long investigation delves into the inner workings of Reform UK, tracking election candidates and councillors across England and Wales during the local elections in May and four by-elections set for 2025 and 2026.

According to reports, Mayoral candidate Chris Parry, who came under fire for stating that the then-deputy prime minister “should go home to the Caribbean,” was allegedly shielded by Farage following the backlash. Secret recordings reveal Farage suggesting that Parry should apologise while defending him from criticism.

Despite initial support, Parry was later suspended after he compared a Jewish neighbourhood watch group to “Islamists on horseback” in a separate incident.

Reform councillors and candidates made racist and sexual remarks

Undercover journalists captured multiple Reform councillors making a series of racist, sexist, and violent comments. Councillor Alan Feeney from Solihull has since resigned after being recorded describing the area as “infested” with Asian families, whom he derogatorily referred to as “absolute parasites.”

In another disturbing incident, Feeney suggested drastic measures against Asian residents, stating, “Drag them out of their homes, stick them on planes, and f*** them off to Pakistan.”

Additionally, Chris Whelan, a candidate in Solihull, made lewd remarks about a female party member. He has since left the party for personal health reasons.

Comments from Dean Miller, a councillor for Bromley, included violent threats towards illegal immigrants, as he expressed a desire to “take them out,” and he also made derogatory statements regarding King Charles.

Reporting from the undercover investigation suggests that inferences were made advocating for “concentration camps” for asylum seekers arriving in small boats to the UK, leading to further suspensions from the party.

MP Sarah Pochin said the party was ‘f***ing chauvinistic’

Meanwhile, MP Sarah Pochin reportedly described the party’s culture as “f***ing chauvinistic,” remarking that female members are often excluded from important discussions. Her claims have stirred further allegations regarding gender bias within Reform UK’s ranks.

However, Robert Jenrick, the party’s treasury spokesperson, denied these claims, attributing the behavior of individual members to isolated incidents rather than systemic issues.

In response to the allegations, Reform UK issued a statement highlighting improved vetting procedures but acknowledged that challenges remain in filtering out individuals who do not align with the party’s values.

As the fallout from this investigation continues, the extent of the damage to the party’s reputation raises questions about its future direction and the implications of such revelations for the political landscape.
