Henry Pollock signs new deal with Northampton Saints
Henry Pollock has signed a new contract with Northampton Saints, worth £450,000 a year, which will see him play with the club until at least 2029, reports BritPanorama.
The 21-year-old forward inked the deal after a contract stand-off, despite having one year remaining on his initial agreement valued at £150,000 annually. This new contract places him among the highest-paid back-row forwards in the sport.
Having won the Premiership title in the previous season, Pollock now sets his sights on the Champions Cup. He expressed his enthusiasm about being part of the Saints: “It’s an exciting place to be right now. We’re in a great spot as a team, but it feels like there’s still so much more growth in us.”
Pollock highlighted the camaraderie within the squad, noting that it has helped in pushing each other to improve. “Winning the Champions Cup is another huge ambition for us. We came so close a couple of years ago, and achieving that together would be incredibly special,” he stated.
