Fernandes faces criticism after United’s defeat to Hull

He suggested that Fernandes should have “kept his mouth shut” after not delivering his best performance during the match.
Further criticisms came from Scholes regarding Luke Shaw’s remarks about the team’s preparation, suggesting such comments reflect poorly on the managerial staff. “If one of your players is saying that, you’d be like f***ing hell, you’d have them in on Monday morning,” he stated, indicating a need for stronger team cohesion and communication.
Dion Dublin echoed this sentiment, stating that senior players should not provide unnecessary fodder for public scrutiny after a poor performance. He emphasized the importance of tact when responding to disappointing results and highlighted Carrick’s need to recalibrate his relationship with the team now that he has transitioned from interim manager to a permanent role.
