Michael Carrick confirmed as Manchester United head coach

Manchester United have confirmed that Michael Carrick will continue as the club’s head coach, reports BritPanorama.

The former United midfielder, who was appointed in January on a temporary basis, will stay on with a two-year contract.

Carrick took over the Red Devils with the club in seventh place, leading them to a top-three finish and Champions League football.

In a statement, Carrick said: “From the moment that I arrived here 20 years ago, I felt the magic of Manchester United. Carrying the responsibility of leading our special football club fills me with immense pride.”
