Former player and manager Tim Sherwood emphasizes the need for consistency at Tottenham Hotspur to achieve success, citing high turnover among managers and players as a significant factor in the club’s ongoing struggles, reports BritPanorama.
Since the dismissal of Mauricio Pochettino in 2019, Tottenham has seen a flurry of managerial changes, including the appointments of José Mourinho, Nuno Espírito Santo, Antonio Conte, and most recently, Ange Postecoglou. Each new hire has brought a distinct philosophy, necessitating yet another reshaping of the squad to fit varying styles.
Sherwood highlighted that constant change impedes the club’s ability to cultivate a stable environment that fosters employee and fan satisfaction. In his view, Tottenham’s historical reluctance to maintain a coherent direction has created a discontented fan base. “It’s the consistency of their performances. I mean, they keep changing managers, keep the big turnover of players,” he noted.
