Ronnie O’Sullivan enjoys romantic evening in Dubai

Ronnie O’Sullivan and his wife, Laila Rouass, have been spotted enjoying a romantic evening out in Dubai following their departure from the UK last year, reports BritPanorama.

The seven-time snooker world champion married the actress in an intimate ceremony last year and has since settled into a new life in the Gulf state. O’Sullivan has reportedly adjusted well to his surroundings, fully embracing the opportunities presented by his relocation.

Rouass shared their evening on Instagram, posting footage that captured the couple relaxing together. The video featured Kenny Thomas’s 1991 hit “Thinking About Your Love” in the background, at which point Rouass playfully asked her husband how old he was when the track was released.

With a deadpan expression, O’Sullivan replied, “One. So that must make Kenny about 85 now. Alright, Ken,” leaving Rouass in stitches. The singer responded on social media, saying, “Alright @ronnie. Too funny, and at times I definitely feel it. Love ya and @lailarouass.”

The light-hearted exchange delighted fans of both the snooker star and the soul singer. Previously, O’Sullivan spoke on his decision to move permanently to Dubai, highlighting the excellent practice facilities available: “I’ve got a great practice facility there, which was one of the main reasons for going. I was struggling to find somewhere to play. It was either get a train up to Sheffield or try to move to Sheffield.”

He revealed that Rouass was not keen on relocating to Sheffield, suggesting they either move to Spain or Dubai. “I thought, well, Dubai is nearer China. Obviously, it’s in the Middle East. All the tournaments that I play and all the work that I do is there. It just made sense to go to Dubai,” he explained.

Expressing his satisfaction with life in the emirate, O’Sullivan remarked, “Really enjoying it out there. Great gyms. I’m enjoying that side of it. I’ve met some really nice friends and fitted in really well. So yeah, it’s great. I’m not a sunbather, but I’d much rather the heat than cold, if that makes sense. Spring and autumn are my favourite times.”

As O’Sullivan continues to find his footing in Dubai, there’s a sense of ease surrounding his transition, embodying how personal choices can shape the careers of elite athletes.
