Phil Foden sells Cheshire estate for £2.9 million

Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden has finalised the sale of his Cheshire estate for close to £2.9 million, following a six-month marketing period, reports BritPanorama.

The England international initially listed the property at £3.25 million in April but was prompted to reduce the asking price after a prolonged search for a buyer. The 25-year-old’s Prestbury mansion has now been sold subject to contract through Jackson-Stops estate agents.

This sale concludes Foden’s efforts to find a buyer after he vacated the property last year. Concerns over noise following a large children’s party in August 2023, which attracted police attention, may have influenced the property’s marketability.

Described as having four bedrooms and five bathrooms, the estate features numerous luxury amenities, including a private cinema, gymnasium, cocktail bar, and indoor swimming pool. The grounds are secured by electronic gates and are equipped with extensive gardens and children’s play facilities.

The exclusive neighbourhood is notable for its high-profile residents, including Slade frontman Noddy Holder and television antiques specialist David Dickinson. Foden’s former Manchester City teammate, Kyle Walker, also resides nearby.

The incident that drew police attention involved a raucous celebration that local residents compared to “being in a nightclub” due to the volume of music and festivities, which included tracks such as Snoop Dogg’s “Drop It Like It’s Hot.” Police confirmed they received noise complaints but did not respond to the scene.

This was not the midfielder’s first experience with noise complaints; a Mother’s Day event in March 2022 also led to local residents reporting excessive noise levels. Since vacating the estate, Foden has moved to a more secluded rural residence that remains accessible to Manchester City’s training facilities.

Foden shares this new countryside home with his childhood partner Rebecca Cooke and their three children. The couple appear to have become engaged after a recent holiday in Paris, where Cooke was seen wearing a substantial diamond ring. The family has welcomed three children since 2019, balancing their growing clan with the demands of Foden’s professional football career.

As the once vast estate now closes a chapter for the Foden family, it serves as a reminder of the intersections between fame, family life, and the expectations of high-profile athletes in the public eye.
