Mohamed Salah has confirmed his decision to leave Liverpool, concluding a significant era in the club’s history, reports BritPanorama. The Egyptian forward announced through a video message on social media that he will depart Anfield at the end of the current campaign.

In a heartfelt address to supporters, the 33-year-old stated, “Hello everyone, unfortunately, the day has come. This is the first part of my farewell. I will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.” Salah expressed his deep appreciation for Liverpool, saying, “I never imagined how deeply this club, this city and the people would become part of my life.”

Having joined Liverpool in the summer of 2017 from Serie A club Roma, Salah has become one of the most prominent figures in the team’s history. The club confirmed that an agreement had been reached regarding his departure, concluding his remarkable tenure at the end of the 2025-26 season. He chose to inform fans promptly, showing his respect for those who have supported him throughout his time at the club.

Salah’s achievements at Liverpool are substantial, with his record standing at 255 goals in 435 appearances, making him the third-highest scorer in the club’s history. His time at Liverpool has also been marked by substantial silverware, including two Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League, and several domestic cups.

Individual accolades have followed Salah, including the Premier League Golden Boot four times. Last season, he scored 29 goals and provided 18 assists in 38 league appearances as Liverpool secured their second domestic crown. In his farewell message, Salah highlighted the bond he shares with the Anfield faithful, noting, “Liverpool is not just a football club. It is a passion, a history, a spirit. I can’t explain in words.”

As he prepares to leave, Salah emphasized the unwavering support he received through both the highs and lows of his career. “You stood by me in my toughest times. I will never forget,” he remarked. Salah concluded his message with a powerful tribute: “I will always be one of you and this club will always be home to me and my family. Because of all of you, I will never walk alone.”

With silverware still within reach this season, Salah remains dedicated to ensuring a strong finish before bidding farewell to Anfield.
