Manchester City secure last-minute victory against Leeds United

The Premier League delivered another thrilling afternoon, with Manchester City clinching a last-minute win over Leeds United, having initially squandered a two-goal lead, reports BritPanorama.

The match at the Etihad began dramatically, with England’s Phil Foden netting just over a minute in, marking the fastest goal of the season. Josko Gvardiol extended City’s lead with a close-range finish after a poorly defended corner.

However, Leeds fought back. Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored his first goal for the club after a penalty was awarded when Gvardiol fouled him in the box. Although Gianluigi Donnarumma initially saved Lukas Nmecha’s spot-kick, the rebound fell back to Nmecha, who scored easily.

As the game seemed destined for a draw, Foden struck again, skillfully bypassing two defenders to curl a shot into the bottom corner, securing a 3-2 victory for City.

Sunderland triumph over Bournemouth

In another exciting clash, Sunderland rallied from two goals down to defeat Bournemouth 3-2. The visitors took the lead through Amine Adli’s goal before Tyler Adams scored an extraordinary long-range effort from the centre circle.

Sunderland responded well, with Enzo le Fee reducing the deficit from the penalty spot, and Bertrand Traore equalised shortly after, displaying excellent finishing from a tight angle.

Brian Brobbey completed the comeback with Sunderland’s third goal, while Bournemouth’s Lewis Cook received a red card in the closing moments.

Brentford edge out Burnley

Brentford managed a narrow victory against Burnley, winning 2-1 in a match that saw some ups and downs. Igor Thiago scored first from the penalty spot, placing a confident shot into the bottom corner after a foul was called on his teammate.

Burnley equalised shortly after through Zian Flemming, before Thiago made amends, netting from close range to restore Brentford’s lead. Dango Ouatarra then confirmed the home team’s win with a last-minute goal.

As the Premier League unfolds, these matches showcase the unpredictability and excitement synonymous with English football. With teams battling for crucial points, every fixture remains pivotal as the season progresses.
