Luke Littler claims World Masters title again

Luke Littler has done it again, adding the World Masters trophy to his remarkable collection on Sunday evening, reports BritPanorama.

The teenage sensation edged out Luke Humphries in a thrilling 6-5 final at Arena MK in Milton Keynes, pocketing a cool £100,000 in the process.

At just 19 years old, Littler now sits joint-third on the all-time list of most successful players in the PDC era with 11 major titles. Only legends Michael van Gerwen, with 48 titles, and Phil Taylor, with 79, have won more.

The European Championships remains the sole major television PDC trophy still eluding the young star. However, the final incidentally coincided with his girlfriend Faith Millar’s 20th birthday.

Littler admitted he had completely forgotten to sort out a present. “It is Faith’s birthday. I didn’t get her anything, but at least I got the trophy,” the two-time world champion confessed after his victory. He promised to make it up to her, suggesting, “We can go shopping tomorrow. It’s going to go,” indicating that the £100,000 prize pot might not sit in his account for long.

There was “a little bit” of pressure to secure the win for her and his family, but fans on social media had mixed reactions regarding Littler’s birthday oversight. One supporter remarked, “F****** hell. Basically just didn’t bother to get a present to his new girlfriend that he’s never celebrated a birthday with before. What a fella.” Others took a more humorous approach, with one saying, “Haha, who says romance is dead?” Millar herself seemed unfazed by the blunder, having been present to watch her boyfriend lift yet another trophy.

Littler confirmed his relationship with the beautician back in July, after months of insisting the pair were simply friends. They had first been seen together in May, and Millar has been a constant presence at his side, even accompanying him to the Australian Darts Masters. Despite the challenges, Littler remains focused on the positives, stating last year on DartsStream Live, “Honestly, I just said, ‘They’re jealous. They wanna ruin us.’ But I just said, ‘Just don’t look at it and just focus on what we’ve got.’

In a sport known for its unpredictable nature, Littler’s continued success exemplifies his resilience and skill, highlighting how sports figures navigate personal and professional pressures in the public eye.
