Lewis Hamilton parts ways with key ally Marc Hynes ahead of new season

Lewis Hamilton has separated from his closest professional ally Marc Hynes for the second time, with the split coming just weeks before the new Formula One campaign begins, reports BritPanorama.

The seven-time world champion, aged 41, recently spent a romantic weekend with American media personality Kim Kardashian at Estelle Manor, an exclusive country retreat in the Cotswolds. Meanwhile, Hynes has moved on to a role with Cadillac, the American team set to join the F1 grid this season.

While it remains unclear whether Hynes will maintain any involvement in Hamilton’s business interests, this departure marks a significant change from his previously extensive role as a manager. Hynes was previously the chief executive of Project 44, Hamilton’s management company, from 2015 until their first amicable separation in 2021.

After a two-year break, Hynes rejoined Hamilton’s circle, overseeing logistics for the driver’s shift to Ferrari. Throughout the 2025 season, he became a central figure in Hamilton’s entourage, attending nearly every grand prix to manage racing matters.

Sources within Formula One suggest that Hamilton sought to reshape his support structure following a challenging debut campaign with Ferrari. The British driver did not secure a single podium finish, describing his performances as “absolutely useless.” This restructuring also includes a reassignment for race engineer Riccardo Adami within the Ferrari team.

Despite these changes to his support team, Hamilton retains a close-knit group of trusted staff, including his trainer Angela Cullen. The new season is set to commence in Melbourne on 8th March, featuring significant revisions to sporting regulations that will introduce slimmer cars.

Reports from team personnel indicate Hamilton appeared in positive spirits during last week’s private testing session in Barcelona. This indicates an openness to the major regulatory changes ahead. Ultimately, the forthcoming season could serve as a pivotal moment in Hamilton’s illustrious career, as he navigates these transformations both personally and professionally.
