Ronnie O’Sullivan’s wife, Laila Rouass, celebrated her first Valentine’s Day as a married woman with a heartfelt social media tribute to the snooker champion, reports BritPanorama.
The 54-year-old actress shared a photograph and a touching message on Instagram Stories, stating, “My first Valentine as Mrs O’Sullivan. Happy Love Day to my sweet, generous and hot husband Ronnie O’Sullivan.”
Rouass and O’Sullivan tied the knot in a modest ceremony last June, making this 14 February their first official celebration of the romantic occasion as a married couple.
The couple’s relationship began in 2012 when they met while Rouass was house hunting and was shown around O’Sullivan’s home by his father. Their romance progressed rapidly, leading to a proposal after just a year together; however, the pressures of their careers led to an initial separation, prompting the couple to call off their engagement.
Despite the ups and downs, the couple rekindled their relationship 13 months ago, culminating in their wedding in Shadwell, East London. Rouass previously revealed their happiness in making it official, stating, “We finally made it official!! Mr & Mrs O’Sullivan.”
As O’Sullivan savours his personal joys, he faces significant professional commitments ahead. Scheduled to compete against Stephen Hendry for the first time in 15 years, the match will take place for the newly established John Virgo Trophy on the weekend of 11-12 April at Goffs Kildare Paddocks in Ireland. This event is dedicated to the late snooker personality and broadcaster who passed away earlier this month at the age of 79.
Absent from the upcoming Players Championship next week, O’Sullivan remains a significant figure in the sport, embodying both personal and professional milestones as he continues to engage with his ever-admirable career.
