Joey Barton arrested after alleged fight at golf club
Joey Barton has been arrested following an alleged fight at a golf club near Huyton and Prescot Golf Club in Merseyside, reports BritPanorama.
The incident drew the attention of emergency services, who were called on Sunday night after reports of an assault. One individual was subsequently taken to hospital for assessment of injuries to his face and ribs, as confirmed by police.
According to a statement from Merseyside Police, two men, aged 50 and 43, were arrested on suspicion of s18 wounding. Both individuals are currently in custody and will be questioned by detectives as inquiries continue into the circumstances surrounding the altercation.
