Salah’s comments came after he was left on the bench for the entire 90 minutes at Elland Road, marking the third consecutive match where he has featured minimally. “I could not believe I was sitting on the bench for 90 minutes,” the 33-year-old stated, adding, “That’s the third time. It’s the first time in my career I think.”
His remarks included, “It seems like the club has thrown me under the bus. That’s how I feel.” Liverpool responded by omitting Salah from their travelling party for Tuesday’s Champions League fixture against Inter Milan in Italy, despite his training sessions prior to the match.
