Jake Paul denies split from Olympic speed skater fiancée amid media allegations

Jake Paul dismisses split rumours with Jutta Leerdam

Jake Paul has hit back at reports suggesting he ended his engagement to Dutch Olympic speed skater Jutta Leerdam, dismissing the claims as false, reports BritPanorama.

The 29-year-old YouTube star and boxer posted on X on Monday, directly challenging what he described as dishonest reporting from Netherlands-based outlets.

Paul wrote: “Seeing the Dutch media lying about my fiancé Jutta and I.” He continued, “There is so much false information being spread about Jutta in the past years. It needs to stop.”

The statement comes in response to speculation that emerged last week regarding the couple’s relationship status. The rumours originated from Dutch media personality Yvonne Coldeweijer, who claimed, “Jutta has been dumped by her fiance Jake! He is completely done with her!” She alleged that Paul had driven Leerdam home approximately two weeks prior, retrieved the engagement ring, and terminated both the engagement and their relationship entirely.

Coldeweijer reportedly also made accusations that Paul had been unfaithful to his fiancée, though no evidence has been presented to substantiate these infidelity claims. The allegations quickly spread through Dutch media before Paul issued his public rebuttal on social media.

Leerdam captured global attention in February when she claimed gold at the Winter Olympics in Milan, triumphing in the women’s 1000m speed skating event. Paul travelled to Italy to watch his fiancée compete, witnessing her victory firsthand from the stands.

The athlete added to her medal haul by securing silver in the women’s 500m race. Following her Olympic success, Paul shared an emotional tribute on social media, posting: “Juttttttttttaaaaaaaa. I can’t stop crying. You did it my love. Olympic Gold. God is great and so are you.”

The public display of affection stands in stark contrast to the recent split rumours. To mark Leerdam’s Olympic achievements, Paul presented her with an extravagant gift last month, including a Bentley Brabus G-Class valued at approximately £400,000. Paul explained when revealing the luxury vehicle: “Only the best for my queen she worked hard for the gold and silver so I got her a bronze G Wagon.” This generous gesture, which he playfully described as “bronze” to match her medal collection, demonstrated the couple’s apparent closeness just weeks before the breakup allegations surfaced. Neither Leerdam nor Paul have made further public comments addressing the rumours beyond his initial denial on X.

As the dust settles, it’s clear that the interplay of personal lives and public personas remains ever fragile. For Paul and Leerdam, the spotlight shines brighter than most, illustrating how quickly public perception can shift, even amidst moments of genuine support and celebration.
