Aaron Ramsey Appeals for Help in Finding Missing Dog Halo
Aaron Ramsey has shared a heartbreaking update about his missing dog, Halo, who disappeared earlier this month in Mexico, reports BritPanorama.
The former Arsenal and Wales midfielder, currently playing for Pumas UNAM, has been actively seeking assistance since Halo went missing in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato.
Despite offering a $10,000 (£7,500) reward for information leading to Halo’s return, the beloved pet has yet to be located. On Friday evening, Ramsey posted a black-and-white photograph of Halo on Instagram, accompanied by the message: “What I’d do to hold you one last time, Halo.”
The emotional appeal was also shared on his Instagram story, with three white heart emojis. The 34-year-old has utilized social media to raise awareness, as local volunteers have joined the ongoing search for the dog.
Posters featuring Halo’s image have emerged across San Miguel de Allende, galvanizing support from residents and fans alike. When Halo first went missing, Ramsey publicly urged for help, stating: “Please help us find Halo. He was lost in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, in the vicinity of Hipsterrier, which is a dog shelter. A reward is being offered. Any information is valuable. Help us get him back to his family.”
Supporters from around the globe have responded with messages of sympathy on Ramsey’s recent posts, showcasing the impact of the situation. Ramsey’s wife, Colleen, has also engaged online, as the family continues to hold out hope for Halo’s safe return.
The dog is an integral part of the Ramsey household, which includes their three sons — Sonny, and twins Tomas and Teddy — who are all upset by the ongoing ordeal. Ramsey, who joined Pumas UNAM in July, has been adapting to life in Mexico following his departure from Cardiff City.
In a previous discussion regarding his move, Ramsey expressed his enthusiasm for the club’s ambition and the quality of Liga MX, stating that he was eager to embrace the challenges ahead.
Pumas have experienced a mixed start to the Liga MX campaign, currently sitting 12th in the table, but the midfielder’s focus has been predominantly on searching for Halo. Friends, teammates, and fans continue to rally in support of the player, whose heartfelt messages highlight the emotional impact of his dog’s disappearance.
Ramsey remains hopeful that his loyal companion will be found, expressing to friends that he has not lost faith in Halo returning home.
