Reform UK has gained over 260,000 paid members, marking a significant milestone for the party, announced last night. Deputy Leader Richard Tice celebrated this achievement, asserting that Nigel Farage’s movement has expanded “from strength to strength”, reports BritPanorama.
The party’s growth stands in stark contrast to the Liberal Democrats, whose membership has nearly halved in the past five years to just 60,000. Tice emphasized, “Reform has all the momentum in British politics,” highlighting the party’s rising prominence.
According to Tice, Reform UK is now among the largest political groups in Western Europe by membership and expects this figure to continue to grow. “We now have the foot soldiers to fight elections across the country,” he stated.
Political Landscape
Labour currently leads with the largest membership, boasting 333,235 members as of the end of last year. In response to Reform UK’s rapid growth, Farage predicted, “I now predict that we will be the biggest political party in Britain before long.”
