Farage labels Starmer unfit for office, dismisses accusations as desperate tactics

Nigel Farage has sharply criticized Sir Keir Starmer, declaring him “unfit to be Prime Minister,” amid an escalating political confrontation. The leader of Reform UK made these comments following Starmer’s assertion that there is now a “defining choice” for the future of the country, reports BritPanorama.

Farage’s attack comes as tensions heighten over immigration policies and accusations of racism. He argued that branding his party’s immigration proposals as racist could “incite and encourage the radical left” and endanger his campaigners’ safety, particularly in light of the recent murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Fuming at the Prime Minister’s stance, Farage stated he plans to give the government “a lesson” during the local elections in May, emphasizing that these elections represent the “last throw of the dice” for a Prime Minister he describes as being in “deep trouble.”

In response to Starmer’s conference speech, Farage maintained, “The government are incapable of beating us with arguments.” In a day filled with conflict, both leaders engaged in a fierce exchange:

  • Starmer accused Farage of “not liking or believing in Britain”
  • The Prime Minister labeled Reform UK as the “enemy” and vowed, “we will never surrender to them”
  • Farage countered, calling Starmer “unfit to be PM,” insisting “He used to be a decent man”
  • Both leaders further accused each other of “inciting racial hatred & violence”

Farage asserted that Starmer has “descended into the gutter” with his rhetoric, remarking on the uniqueness of the conference’s focus on his own name, despite him not being a member of the Labour Party.

“What I’ve learnt this week is that the Government cannot defeat us on our arguments,” he claimed. The Reform leader advocated for strict immigration policies, insisting on the deportation of illegal migrants and stressing that the benefits system should prioritize UK citizens over foreign nationals. He criticized Labour for labeling these policies as “racist,” suggesting that such a stance wrongly categorizes supporters of Reform UK as racists as well.

Starmer has characterized the UK as standing at a “fork in the road,” urging unity against Farage and Reform UK. He framed the political discourse as a “fight for the soul of our country,” highlighting the choice between “decency or division.” He explained, “We can all see our country faces a choice, a defining choice. Britain stands at a fork in the road.”
