A sweet London institution has popped up in Dublin for just a few weeks, and just in time for summer.

Strawberry & Co, a longtime seller from London’s iconic Borough Market that has become viral on TikTok and Instagram for its cups of strawberries with toppings, has just opened a temporary pop-up in Dublin’s at the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre, complete with a distinctly Irish twist on their classic dessert.

At a time when pastries and sweet treats of all descriptions are booming in the city, Strawberry & Co have become famous for its simple offering of fresh strawberries slathered in melted milk chocolate, poured straight from a non-stop fountain of molten chocolate.

The cups of strawberries can be spotted around London’s Borough Market with fans relishing the theatrical production of the sweet treat. The seller routinely draws long queues, with another location in Dubai.

For their Irish pop-up, however, the brand have opted to use hand-picked Wexford strawberries that are drizzled with melted Swiss milk chocolate (€9.50).

Pastry chef Ludovic Lantier has also created a special summer menu for the run, which features ‘Dubai style’ strawberries topped with pistachio cream and roasted nuts (€12.95). Also available are summer-appropriate Wexford strawberries marinated in fresh lime and maple syrup, served with Madagascan vanilla Chantilly cream (€10.50).

Speaking about the menu, Lantier said: “We’ve all seen the queues at Borough Market and elsewhere overseas for these and the buzz on TikTok, but we wanted to elevate that concept with beautiful Irish strawberries and a more refined finish. The menu is playful, luxurious, and simply delicious!

“There’s something timeless about strawberries and chocolate, but this is about more than nostalgia. It’s about joy, indulgence, and creating a little moment of magic in the middle of your day.”

The menu also features drinks, including an iced strawberry matcha (€8.50) made with strawberry purée, premium matcha and creamy oat milk, and a strawberry mojito* (€13) made with strawberry purée.

The pop-up runs until August.
