KYIV, Ukraine (WorldSignal) — Ukraine’s commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert Brovdi, said Saturday that Ukrainian forces disabled 16 energy nodes in Russian-occupied Crimea over the past two days, part of a campaign to isolate Russian military infrastructure on the peninsula.
“We are not talking about a power socket, but about dismantling the enemy’s rear areas in Crimea: total air-defense collapse, logistical and fuel shortages, energy nodes and communications — that is entirely redundant, a consistent isolation of military presence on the peninsula until the complete outflow of colonizers and collaborators,” Brovdi wrote on his social media channel.
Brovdi, who uses the call sign “Madyar,” said the strikes are designed to cut Russian forces in Crimea from supply routes and propaganda channels. “Watching Solovyov ‘about victory’ becomes technically difficult, reality turns off propaganda,” he said, referring to Russian state TV host Vladimir Solovyov.
He urged Russian personnel to leave the peninsula. “A hint for the single worm brain: it is more difficult to find the road to Rostov in the dark — speed up already,” Brovdi added.
Context of strikes
Ukraine has increasingly targeted Russian military logistics, energy infrastructure and command-and-control nodes in Crimea since the full-scale invasion began in February 2022. Kyiv considers the peninsula Ukrainian territory under illegal occupation.
The claim of disabling 16 energy nodes could not be independently verified. Russia has not commented on the specific statement. Moscow previously accused Ukraine of attacking civilian infrastructure in Crimea.
Brovdi’s remarks come as Ukraine intensifies long-range strikes using unmanned systems against Russian rear areas, aiming to degrade the Kremlin’s ability to sustain operations on the front lines.
