Snoop Dogg surprises Italian family with tickets after meal mishap at Winter Olympics

Snoop Dogg’s heartfelt gesture at the Winter Olympics

Snoop Dogg repaid an Italian family’s generosity with an unforgettable gift after experiencing an awkward payment mishap at their bar during the Winter Olympics, reports BritPanorama.

The rapper presented five tickets to the men’s snowboard halfpipe final to the Valmadre family, who own Cronox bar in Livigno, just one day after they let him leave with his food order despite his card being declined.

Sofia Valmadre expressed her gratitude, saying, “Today, he sent us five tickets to see the final. Grazie Snoop.” The family attended the event where Japan’s Yuto Totsuka claimed gold, narrowly beating Australia’s Scotty James and fellow Japanese competitor Ryusei Yamada.

The incident unfolded last week when Snoop Dogg ordered a cheeseburger, chicken wings, nuggets, and chips at the establishment. Rather than collecting the meal himself, he sent staff to pick it up and settle the bill. However, the transaction could not be processed, leaving his team unable to complete payment.

“He sent his staff to take it and pay, but they couldn’t pay. I don’t know why, it wasn’t going through,” Sofia explained. In response, her mother kindly waved the rapper’s entourage away with their order, telling them not to worry about the cost.

During the Games, Snoop Dogg, serving as an NBC correspondent and Team USA’s first-ever honorary coach, has been actively engaged, cheering on American athletes across multiple disciplines.

Snoop Dogg attended the halfpipe final himself, seated beside American snowboarding legend Shaun White, who holds three Olympic gold medals. His involvement at the Winter Olympics follows a lucrative contract with NBC, reportedly earning him around £393,000 daily during the Paris 2024 Summer Games for his appearances.

While his primary role is to support the athletes, Snoop’s Olympic journey has also included informal snowboarding lessons from White and a brief attempt at bobsleigh, which he described as less enjoyable compared to other experiences. “I would never do bobsledding again. That’s just not me,” he remarked, capturing the spirit of adventure that defines his Olympic presence.

As the Winter Olympics continue, Snoop Dogg’s thoughtful gesture is a reminder of how connections are often forged in unexpected ways, transcending the competition itself.
